Robert Driver awarded NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biology!!!

Congratulations to Robert Driver, who was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship in Biology!

Robert will work in the lab of Dr. Hiro Matsunami at Duke University to match bird olfactory receptors to the odors that they respond to. Robert will use mouse olfactory receptors with known odor binding properties to test the conservation of ligand binding between mammals and bird olfactory receptor orthologs. Robert will also test which olfactory receptors respond to odors familiar to birds, such as nesting material.

Congrats, Robert!!!!!
