Timothy Lee awarded North Carolina Wildlife Federation Scholarship

Congratulations to Timothy Lee for being awarded a North Carolina Wildlife Federation Scholarship in August 2020!

Tim’s research is comparing and contrasting macroinvertebrate diversity between a non-native and native foundational species on the estuarine coast of North Carolina. Currently, these estuaries are slowly transforming as a non-native seaweed is expanding and potentially interfering with native seagrasses. With the support from NCWF scholarship, Tim will determine if the native or non-native foundational species can accommodate higher richness and diversity of macroinvertebrates.
