Stacy Trackenberg awarded 2020 North Carolina Sea Grant

Congratulations, Stacy Trackenberg! Stacy recently received the 2020 North Carolina Sea Grant and Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership Fellowship Graduate Fellowship. This fellowship supports Stacy’s estuarine research project entitled “Assessing Faunal Community Composition in Newly Restored Seagrass Beds Across a Depth Gradient”.

Next summer, Stacy, with other members of the Gittman lab and collaborators will be restoring small beds of a native seagrass along an elevation gradient. They will also be monitoring the spread of the restored seagrass and the faunal communities recruiting to these restored beds.
